Polycarbonate is an impact resistant product and can handle higher heat ranges than acrylic. It is susceptible to solvent or aerosol based cleaning products which will graze and or further damage the globe beyond repair.

Polycarbonate globes will age through direct contact with ultraviolet and as a result of high heat. All of our globes have been treated with an ultraviolet inhibitor to help improve the on-site performance.
